What is PUG2009?
PUG2009 is the 4th Annual International PRISM Users Group Conference and Workshops event where you can learn from and network with business peers, fellow PRISM users and PRISM product experts.  By attending this event, you will gain invaluable knowledge on how to improve performance, more effectively manage projects and get more from your investment in PRISM products.  Find out what PUG2009 has to offer – whether you are new to PRISM or a long-time user.
When and where will the PUG2009 take place?

The PUG2009 Conference Meeting will be held on Monday and Tuesday, September 21 & 22, 2009.
The PUG2009 Workshops will be held from Wednesday through Saturday, September 23 to 26, 2009.

Can I present at PUG2009?

The call for speakers is open.  If you are interested in speaking at the conference, complete the presenter's form and email it to thepug@arescorporation.com.

Whatever your industry, position, or level of experience with PRISM products, be part of the PRISM knowledge-sharing and submit an abstract for possible presentation at the PUG2009 event. Moderated user presentation sessions add so much to the experience of conference attendees. And as a presenter the imparting of insights, tips and lessons learned, as well as the networking these sessions lead to is unbeatable.  We can’t wait to hear your PRISM story. 

Are there any exhibit spaces available?
The invitation to exhibit is open. If you are interested in exhibiting, complete the exhibitor's form and email it to thepug@arescorporation.com.
Will continuing eduction credits be available?

Professional education credits will be available from the following organizations:

  • The Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) International – recertification credits
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) – PDU credits
What is the registration process?
To register for PUG2009, complete the online registration at http://thepug.arescorporation.com
Do I have to sign up for the conference to attend workshops?
No.  You can sign up for the workshops without signing up for the conference.  Although at the conference, you will have an excellent opportunity to learn from and network with business peers, fellow PRISM users and PRISM product experts.
Can I register for additional workshops on-site?
Yes, you can register for additional workshops as long as there are seats available in the workshops of interest.  Class sizes are limited, so register early to reserve your spot.
Is there any discount available?
A 10% Early Bird discount is given if registered by July 31, 2009.
I am bringing a guest.  What activities can they attend with me?
All registered guests are invited to attend the Welcome Reception on Sunday and the evening event on Monday.  Guests are not permitted into the sessions, workshops or to conference breakfasts, lunches and coffee breaks.
Are meals provided?

Conference attendees will have access to the following meals:
Sunday, September 20, 2009 – Welcome Reception with hors d’oeuvres
Monday, September 21, 2009 – Breakfast, lunch, Event Dinner
Tuesday, September 22, 2009 – Breakfast, Lunch

Registered workshop attendees will have access to the following meals:
Wednesday, September 23, 2009 – Breakfast
Thursday, September 24, 2009 – Breakfast
Friday, September 25, 2009 – Breakfast
Saturday, September 26, 2009 - Breakfast

Can I transfer my registration to someone else in my company in the event I cannot attend?
Yes.  Substitutions can be made at any time prior to September 4, 2009 by emailing thepug@arescorporation.com.
What if I need to cancel?
You can cancel your registration on or before September 4, 2009.  There will be no refunds for cancellations received after September 4, 2009.
Can I pay with a company check?

Yes.  Make the check payable to ARES Corporation and mail it along with a copy of the registration email to:

What is the attire for the conference?
The attire for PUG2009 is business casual.
What is the best airport to use for PUG2009?
  • San Francisco – (Airport Code: SFO), 14 miles south of the Stanford Court Hotel
  • Oakland – (Airport Code: OAK), 20 miles east of the Stanford Court Hotel
  • San Jose – (Airport Code: SJC), 47 miles south of the Stanford Court Hotel
Is there Hotel Airport Shuttle service available?
The Stanford Court hotel does not provide shuttle service.  For more information about the Bay Area Shuttles, visit their website.
How much does it cost to get to/from the airport?
  • San Francisco – (Airport Code: SFO)
    • Estimated taxi fare: 45.00  USD  (one way)
    • Estimated shuttle fare: $16-$17/first passenger, $10/additional passenger (one way)
  • Oakland – (Airport Code: OAK)
    • Estimated taxi fare: 60.00  USD  (one way)
    • Estimated shuttle fare: $27-$35/first passenger, $10/additional passenger (one way)
  • San Jose – (Airport Code: SJC)
    • Estimated taxi fare: 125.00  USD  (one way)
